Editorial policy
The rules the desk holds itself to, stated publicly so readers can hold it to them too.
Scope
Educational only. The site explains household saving systems: audits, bills, buying literacy, automation and routines. It does not publish investment, tax or debt-settlement content, makes no income claims, and never frames a guide as advice for an individual household. Every guide carries that disclaimer on the page.
Numbers
No invented statistics and no savings promises. A figure in a guide is either a dated fact from a published source named at the foot of the guide, attributed in the text, or a round number inside a worked example labelled as a hypothetical. If a claim cannot be sourced, it is written as a method to try, not as a fact to believe.
Evergreen only
The site publishes systems, not deals. No deal of the day, no expiring codes, no price-drop alerts: content that depends on a price being true this week is a time bomb, and this publication is built to be left alone safely.
Dates
Published dates are real. A guide's check date moves only when the guide is genuinely re-read against its sources. Volatile material (prices, rates, provider terms) is written as a dated snapshot.
Voice
The desk writes as a knowledgeable explainer of household systems, not as a financial professional. It never claims results for any household, never presents a hypothetical as a measurement, and never describes itself with status words like "expert" or "leading".
Corrections
Errors are corrected in the guide and recorded on the corrections page with the date and the reason. Silent edits to factual claims do not happen here.
